Colin is a senior executive and institutional entrepreneur with nearly 35 years’ experience in nonprofit and for-profit management, with deep wisdom in strategic planning and change management, marketing and communications, digital strategies, advancement, and operations.
Prior to joining BJ in the summer of 2016, Colin was the Director of Marketing and Digital at the Jewish Museum, where he led key strategic change initiatives and delivered an all new brand, marketing, and digital infrastructure. Prior to that, he served as Director of Development and Alumni Relations at the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale (Hillel); and Chief Operating Officer of the AIDS Walks in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. He began his career as Financial Controller for Citibank Private Bank’s Art Advisory Service and continued with marketing management and leadership roles at ITT Financial, The Shooting Gallery Creative Agency, and Havas/EuroRSCG. A New York City native, Colin received a BA in Art History from Yale University and holds leadership positions in a number of not-for-profit organizations including Treasurer of the Council of American Jewish Museums, Co-Founder and Co-Chair of YJAA – the Yale Jewish Alumni Association. He lives in the Upper West Side with his daughter, Stella (4th Grade at PS166; Kadima Dalet), and her cat sisters Tailor Swiff and KT Purry.
