Rent Our Spaces

Conveniently located on the Upper West Side and equipped with state-of-the-art audio/video technology, B’nai Jeshurun (BJ) is available to rent and livestream a range of events. We offer facilities for weddings (Jewish, secular, and interfaith) and religious events such as B’nai Mitzvah, brit milah and naming ceremonies, and memorial services, as well as corporate, non-profit, and social events including meetings, conferences, private concerts, and other gatherings. The rules of Kashrut are strictly observed.

Spaces are available for both members and non-members on weekdays and weekends. BJ does not offer in-house catering but has a selection of preferred vendors to choose from.

BJ has a variety of spaces that can serve many different purposes, including but not limited to:

  • small gatherings
  • large galas/parties of 350 people
  • lectures with up to 700 attendees
  • performances
  • rehearsals
  • classes and readings
  • Holdings for film and TV production

88th Street Sanctuary


The 88th Street Sanctuary building was built in the Moorish Revival style, with elaborate, colorful mosaics and stained glass. Its warm architectural details add to the rich, intimate vibe of the versatile space and its excellent acoustics ensure clear and quality sound.

This space converts easily into a gala location for B’nai Mitzvah, weddings and dinners, speakers, and concerts.

Located on the 88th Street side on the lower level, Frankel Hall frequently is rented to hold Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, private kiddush, Brises/Baby Namings, office parties, and more.

Reception Room


Located on the 89th Street side, the Reception Room’s main attraction is its iconic old fireplace and ceilings. The Reception Room features a meticulously crafted design, showcasing the different ornate patterns and motifs that seem to tell stories of times gone by. The brickwork bordered by intricate gold exudes a sense of grandeur. The combination of exquisite craftsmanship and historical significance makes this room a true masterpiece of its time.

Kitchen


BJ has a fully equipped Kosher commercial kitchen on the lower level next to Frankel Hall available for rent. The rules of Kashrut are strictly observed. Anyone looking to rent or use the space must provide a certificate of Kashrut in order to be approved by our Senior Rabbi. This space can be rented for meal preparation, small food and beverage business to use, or as a production location.
