Rabbi Ayelet Cohen is the Pearl Resnick Dean of The Rabbinical School and Dean of the Division of Religious Leadership at JTS, where she leads the Rabbinical and Cantorial Schools and helps shape the next generation of Jewish clergy. Ordained at JTS and a graduate of Brown University, she has spent more than two decades in Jewish leadership, including serving as a spiritual leader at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah and in leadership roles at the New Israel Fund and the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan.
A BJ member, Rabbi Cohen is the author and co-editor of several works of Jewish liturgy and history, and she serves on the board of Plaza Jewish Community Chapel. She lives in New York City with her partner, Rabbi Marc Margolius, and their five children.
