Family Volunteering at WSCAH
Volunteer with the West Side Campaign Against Hunger to pack healthy food, write cards, and send advocacy messages. This family-friendly opportunity welcomes children ages 6+ with a parent or guardian to participate in this day of giving back to the community.

Tu Bishvat Family Seder
Celebrate the upcoming holiday of Tu Bishvat by joining us for a special seder led by the students of Kadima. We will celebrate nature, reflect on our connection to the Earth, and learn about the importance of caring for our planet.

Celebrate Tu Bishvat with the BJ Environmental Advocates. Join us for a delicious meal while we explore the deep connection between Judaism and the environment, our role in protecting our natural world, and inspire action within our community.
M’kom Shalom: A Place of Peace
This Zoom support group is for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Facilitated by Rabbi Simkha Y. Weintraub, LCSW, and Dr. Adena Greenberg, Ph.D., the support group will meet monthly on Wednesdays.
Israel Processing Space for Parents
We know that our children are hearing about current events in Israel from many sources. This monthly group is a space for those raising children in K-7th grade to discuss how we talk about Israel with our children.

In the Mirror: Lunch and Learn with Rabbi Roly Matalon
Through close reading of short stories about the lives, struggles, and concerns of the Talmudic rabbis, we will uncover deeper layers of our own selves. This year we are studying Chapter 7 of Tractate Baba Metzi’a, with its fascinating stories of both piety and perversion.
Kol Nidre Appeal Donor Reception: Bicentennial Exhibit Gallery Tour
Join us for a gallery tour of BJ’s bicentennial exhibition, “B’nai Jeshurun: The First 100 Years (1825–1925),” an exploration of our transformative and relatively unknown past. BJ Archives Committee Co-chair Ilene Richman and Rabbi Roly Matalon will share their insights and reflections.

Early Childhood Shabbat Service (Age 6 and Under)
We are excited to offer this lively service, featuring songs, stories, Torah reading, and more! This service is intended for families with children from birth through age 7.
Shabbat Morning Services (2nd-6th Grade)
Join us every Saturday morning for a lively Shabbat Service for kids in grades 2-6. Parents can stay or join the community in the Sanctuary. Services are led by Rabbis Deena Cowans, Becca Weintraub, and our music educator Yaira Spitzer Tilchin!
Arvit and Havdalah
Join us in virtual community for Arvit (the evening service), as we maintain a collective spiritual practice while supporting all those in our midst who are saying Kaddish. We will conclude with havdalah and end Shabbat together as a community.
