Hitoreri, our monthly teen-only Kabbalat Shabbat & dinner, is a BJ teen tradition. Teens participate in a mindfulness-style Kabbalat Shabbat service led by one of the BJ rabbis, followed by a delicious Shabbat dinner and a chance to hang out.

Participants will be guided through the process of selecting a healthcare agent, documenting their wishes for care, and communicating their values. Attendees sometimes already have an advance directive in need of updating, or have never heard the term—all are welcome.
Open the other half of the Jewish bookshelf with Rabbi Felicia Sol and the study of Dirshuni: Contemporary Women’s Midrash. No previous textual experience is necessary. Each class will stand alone, so come for one or join for all. Rabbi Sol will select the midrashim and share them with the class.
