Help WSCAH Fight Hunger During the Holidays with the Healthy Food Challenge
As we approach the Thanksgiving season, over 1.2 million New Yorkers will face devastating choices between food for their families or other basic needs. With food insecurity on the rise, especially here in New York City, the urgency to address hunger has never been greater. That’s why we’re partnering once again with the West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) to meet this challenge head on.
Through WSCAH’s Healthy Food Challenge, you have the power to make a difference. Join us in answering this call to action and help us reach BJ’s fundraising goal of $25,000.
Over the past year, we’ve witnessed an unrelenting increase in need across our city, driven by rising food prices, soaring rent, and reduced benefits like SNAP. The crisis has only deepened with an unprecedented influx of refugees and asylum seekers, all striving to make ends meet in an already strained system. Now, more than ever, WSCAH needs our help to provide healthy food options to families, seniors, and individuals in need.
Here’s how you can help make this season one of abundance for all:
Make a Donation: Every dollar counts, and your support means the world to the tens of thousands of customers who receive nutritious food from WSCAH. Donate Now
Spread the Word: Even if you’re unable to donate at this time, sharing this campaign with your family, friends, and community can make a huge difference.
Volunteer: Join us for one of our upcoming BJ volunteer days at WSCAH on Friday, November 22, or Friday, December 20! Spots are limited and registration is required. If these times don’t work, you can check out other WSCAH volunteer sign-up options.
