Election Day Is Almost Here: Are you ready?

  • Written By: Kiana Davis, Social Action and Social Justice Senior Manager

Jewish tradition calls us to take responsibility for our communities and work toward a more just society. Voting is one way we put those values into action, shaping the leaders and policies that affect our neighbors and our future. Make a plan to vote, and encourage your friends and family to do the same!

  • Saturday, October 24: NY voter registration deadline
  • Saturday, October 24–Sunday, November 1: NY early voting
  • Tuesday, November 3: Election Day

Visit NYC Votes to check your registration status, find your polling place, and see what’s on your ballot. Don’t forget to flip the ballot to vote on five ballot proposals. Outside NYC? Visit Vote.org.

BJ Members: Did you serve as a poll worker or volunteer with an election protection or get-out-the-vote initiative this season? We invite you to a special aliyah at Shabbat morning services on November 7!
