We are so excited to kick off the year in the BJ Teen Program with our annual Teen Retreat! We will travel to Pinemere Camp in Stroudsburg, PA to reconnect with friends, enjoy the beautiful atmosphere, celebrate Shabbat, and jumpstart an incredible year.

Soul Food: Torah on Prayer and Faith with a Radical Twist with Rabbi Felicia Sol
Join Rabbi Felicia Sol for a lunchtime exploration of prayer and faith through Jewish tradition, asking what we seek in prayer and how faith can shape our lives, with Torah that nourishes, challenges, and inspires.
Shirah with Shira
Join Shira Averbuch for a joyful Hebrew immersion class for children ages 3–4 and their parents or caregivers. Through music, stories, movement, and play, children build early Hebrew language skills, connect with Israeli culture, and experience the warmth of Jewish community.
Kadima Parent Learning
Invest in your own Jewish learning alongside other parents and caregivers. Taught weekly by a rotation of BJ clergy and spiritual leaders, each session connects with what students are learning in Kadima and is open to all backgrounds.
Mindfulness Prayer Practice Group
We invite you to join this group, led by Jonathan Silver, as we search for deeper kavannah (intention) in our prayers, ritual practice, and weekly Torah portion.
Introduction to Judaism

Parashat Hashavua with Rabbinic Fellow Iliana Brodsky
Join us for weekly parashah study following Friday morning minyan. This cycle, we will ask the question, where do we see God in this text? Together, we’ll consider how the stories of our ancestors' experiences of God relate to our time.
Bim Bam
Bim Bam is a joyful gathering for children three and under to get ready for Shabbat through singing, movement, and stories, while practicing traditions such as lighting candles and saying Kiddush.
Tot Shabbat
Families enjoy a kid-friendly Kabbalat Shabbat service filled with singing and dancing. Services are followed by a dinner complete with Shabbat blessings and songs. While adults are finishing their meal, children engage in play and exploration.
Likrat Shabbat
Kick off Shabbat with some Friday night learning, music, food and community building. The evening will consist of Shabbat-related activities for children and adults, services, and dinner. This event is for BJ member families with children in kindergarten through 6th grade.
Hitoreri
Hitoreri is our monthly teen-only Kabbalat Shabbat & dinner, and a favorite BJ teen tradition. Teens participate in a Kabbalat Shabbat service led by their own classmates followed by Shabbat dinner and time for the teens to catch up and hang out.
Kabbalat Shabbat
Join us on Friday nights for a joyful Kabbalat Shabbat service infused with uplifting melodies from across the Jewish world, brought to life by our extraordinary musicians and deepened by the wisdom of our tradition.

Gather for a lively Shabbat morning service featuring songs, stories, Torah reading, and more, especially for families with children ages 6 and under.
Elementary School Shabbat Morning Services: 4th Grade
Join us Saturday mornings for a lively and engaging Shabbat service designed for kids in grades 1–6. Drop-off is optional—parents are welcome to stay for the family-friendly service or join the larger community in the Sanctuary. This week’s service is for 4th graders.
Arvit and Havdalah
Join us in virtual community for Arvit (the evening service), as we maintain a collective spiritual practice while supporting all those in our midst who are saying Kaddish. We will conclude with havdalah and end Shabbat together as a community.
