Rosh Hashanah Morning Services (Second Day)
Join us for Rosh Hashanah morning services, held in person in the SPSA Sanctuary.
Mindfulness Service for Rosh Hashanah
On the second day of Rosh Hashanah, join us for a meditative, soul-stirring, and deeply powerful service, led by Rabbi Shuli Passow, Rabbi Marc Margolius, and Cantor Dave Mintz. Registration is required.
Early Childhood Service for Rosh Hashanah (Second Day)
Join us for Rosh Hashanah Early Childhood services—for children ages six and under and their families—led by Rabbi Becca Weintraub and Shira Averbuch. Registration is required.
Family Services for Rosh Hashanah (Second Day)
Join us for an engaging service geared toward children 13 and under and their families—led by Rabbi Becca Weintraub and Rabbi Deena Cowans. Registration is required.
Community-Wide Learning & Tashlikh
Experience the ritual of Tashlikh, a symbolic casting away of the year’s hardships and misdeeds. Begin at the BJ Community House with reflection and preparation for the new year, then we’ll walk to the Hudson River for Tashlikh.
Arvit and Havdalah
Join us in virtual community for Arvit (the evening service), as we maintain a collective spiritual practice while supporting all those in our midst who are saying Kaddish. We will conclude with havdalah and end Rosh Hashanah together as a community.

Family Life and Learning Welcome Back Brunch
Kick off the school year with a light breakfast and some pre-service socializing. This brunch is for families with children from birth through 6th grade, creating space to connect, catch up, and start the year in community.
Early Childhood Shabbat Service (Age 6 and Under)
Gather for a lively Shabbat morning service featuring songs, stories, Torah reading, and more, especially for families with children ages 6 and under.
Elementary School Shabbat Morning Services: 6th Grade
Join us Saturday mornings for a lively and engaging Shabbat service designed for kids in grades 1–6. Drop-off is optional—parents are welcome to stay for the family-friendly service or join the larger community in the Sanctuary. This week’s service is for 6th graders.
Returning with Intention: A Shabbat Shuvah Mindfulness Practice
On Shabbat Shuvah, join BJ member Jonathan Silver for a guided mindfulness practice reflecting on return, renewal, and the spiritual work of the Ten Days of Awe.
