Pack the Joy!
Come pack mishloah manot with other BJ members—we’ll take care of the supplies, all you have to bring is the joy! After the packing, Rabbi Shuli Passow will give a short teaching about the foundations of mishloah manot.

Early Childhood Megillah Reading and Purim Party (Age 6 and Under)
Early Childhood Families will enjoy a festive erev Purim together! There will be arts and crafts, games, tattoos and face paint, delicious pizza and hamantaschen, and a kid-friendly reading of the Megillah!
Aviv Purim Happy Hour
Before the BJ Purim Spiel kicks off, gather for a pre-spiel happy hour with fellow 20s + 30s! Join friends from BJ and Base UWS to connect over drinks, mingle, and meet a great crew to celebrate with all night long.
Community Megillah Reading
Come together to hear the the megillah in community, balancing the joy of the Purim and reflecting on its resonance in our time. This year, our megillah reading will take on a more contemplative tone, mindful of the upside-down and uncertain nature of the present moment.
Connections Cocktail Hour
Join us for a relaxed hour with good conversation and your favorite drink. All are welcome.

We will continue our close reading of short stories about the lives, struggles, and concerns of the Talmudic rabbis; in order to uncover deeper layers of our own selves, and to become better equipped to wrestle with our human nature.

Parashat Hashavua with Rabbinic Fellow Iliana Brodsky
Join BJ Rabbinic Fellow, Iliana Brodsky, for weekly parashah (torah portion) study following Friday morning minyan. We will study challenges in the text whether textual, moral, or theological.
Bim Bam
Bim Bam is a joyful gathering for children three and under to get ready for Shabbat through singing, movement, and stories, while practicing traditions such as lighting candles and saying Kiddush.

We are excited to offer this lively service, featuring songs, stories, Torah reading, and more! This service is intended for families with children from birth through age 7.
Elementary School Shabbat Morning Services
Join us every Saturday morning for a lively and engaging Shabbat service designed for kids in grades 1-6, led by one of our music educators, Phoebe Eskovitz and Matt Arons. We look forward to seeing you there!
Be the First Hello: Creating a Synagogue Where Everyone Belongs
Join Rabbi Shuli Passow to learn about Jewish texts rich with wisdom about welcoming others. By becoming a synagogue greeter, you can be the first smile, the friendly guide, and the quiet reassurance that says: You belong here.
Havdalah Dinner: 2nd and 3rd Grade
Say goodbye to Shabbat and hello to your BJ friends with Havdalah, dinner, and games! We will gather for dinner and some learning before Havdalah, then have separate kid and adult activities before closing out the night.
Arvit and Havdalah
Join us in virtual community for Arvit (the evening service), as we maintain a collective spiritual practice while supporting all those in our midst who are saying Kaddish. We will conclude with havdalah and end Shabbat together as a community.
