Jewish Meditation with Rabbi Shuli Passow
Start your day with soulfulness and equanimity with this weekly mindfulness meditation practice, led by Rabbi Shuli Passow and informed by themes from the Torah portion.
M’kom Shalom: A Place of Peace
This Zoom support group is for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Facilitated by Rabbi Simkha Y. Weintraub, LCSW, and Dr. Adena Greenberg, Ph.D., the support group will meet monthly on Wednesdays.
Sounds and Silence: Mindfully Hearing the Shofar
How can we prepare to listen with intention and be aware of the messages that resonate within us? This session will include mindfulness meditation and the sounding of the shofar to help our preparation for the Yamim Nora’im.
Physically Far, Spiritually Close
Connect with fellow out-of-town members during this special gathering, where Rabbi Roly Matalon will guide us in meaningful learning and reflection to help prepare for the High Holy Days. Share in community and draw closer in heart and spirit.

Bim Bam
Bim Bam is a joyful gathering for children three and under to get ready for Shabbat through singing, movement, and stories, while practicing traditions such as lighting candles and saying Kiddush.
Tot Shabbat
Families enjoy a kid-friendly Kabbalat Shabbat service filled with singing and dancing. Services are followed by a dinner complete with Shabbat blessings and songs. While adults are finishing their meal, children engage in play and exploration.
Likrat Shabbat (K-6th Grade)
Kick off Shabbat with some Friday night learning, music, food and community building. The evening will consist of Shabbat-related activities for children and adults, services, and dinner. This event is for BJ member families with children in kindergarten through 6th grade.
Kabbalat Shabbat
Join us on Friday nights for a joyful Kabbalat Shabbat service infused with uplifting melodies from across the Jewish world, brought to life by our extraordinary musicians and deepened by the wisdom of our tradition.
Aviv Oneg
Join the party after Kabbalat Shabbat services, and head up to the BJ rooftop terrace for nibbles, drinks, and mingling. All are welcome to experience the magic of BJ’s spiritual and musical services; you can also attend just the oneg.

Welcome Back Brunch for Families
Kick off the school year with a light breakfast and some pre-service socializing! This brunch is for families with children from birth through 6th grade, creating space to connect, catch up, and start the year in community.
Early Childhood Shabbat Service (Age 6 and Under)
We are excited to offer this lively service, featuring songs, stories, Torah reading, and more! This service is intended for families with children from birth through age 7.
Elementary School Shabbat Morning Services
Join us every Saturday morning for a lively and engaging Shabbat service designed for kids in grades 1-6, led by one of our music educators, Phoebe Eskovitz and Matt Arons. We look forward to seeing you there!
Weeks of Comfort, Days of Awe: Post-Kiddush Learning (In Person)
Led by BJ’s new rabbinic fellow, Iliana Brodsky, we’ll explore how comfort and consolation are expressed in our tradition, and consider how embracing comfort as a spiritual posture can deepen our preparation for the High Holy Days.
Aviv Havdalah & Guided Selihot Journaling
Mark the end of Shabbat with a Havdalah ceremony, followed by guided journaling. We'll look back on the past year, its highs, lows, and lessons, and set thoughtful intentions for the year ahead. We'll provide light snacks and journaling materials.
Arvit and Havdalah
Join us in virtual community for Arvit (the evening service), as we maintain a collective spiritual practice while supporting all those in our midst who are saying Kaddish. We will conclude with havdalah and end Shabbat together as a community.
BJ Selihot Experience
Dedicated in loving memory of Bob Owens by his family, we gather on the threshold of the High Holy Days for an evening of music, prayer, poetry, meditation, and reflection, opening our hearts through Selihot liturgy and soulful spiritual practices.
