BJ Theater Co Purim Spiel Auditions

BJ Theater Company’s annual Purim Spiel is back for K-8th graders! Don’t miss your chance to shine on stage in this spectacular, hilarious, sparkly Spiel. We’re calling all actors–experienced and aspiring–to audition by Wednesday, January 4. No previous theater experience is necessary. Every child has a featured solo in the show, which is a nurturing, enriching experience for performers at all levels.

Rehearsals will be held in person on Sundays beginning in January and running until the performances on Monday, March 6 and Tuesday, March 7. If you hope to participate but have scheduling concerns, email Emma–we’re flexible!

The last day to submit audition tapes is Thursday, January 5.

About auditions:

Everyone who is interested in participating in the show will be cast, but auditions are required to help us get to know each actor and think about the right role for them. Your video audition should be emailed to Emma (theaterco@bj.org) by Thursday, January 5. Participants should sing a segment (about 16 bars) of a song they feel comfortable and confident singing. Happy Birthday, the ABCs, and Twinkle, Twinkle always work just fine!
