Let Your Community Support You

Being part of the BJ community means being supported in times of need—by the clergy, the staff, and your fellow members. Please don’t be afraid to ask for help if you are sick, injured, or alone—you can speak to one of our rabbis or to our DOROT social worker, Jane Blumenstein. If you are in need of volunteer support through one of our Hesed groups, contact Billie Di Stefano or see below for more information.

Express Interest in Volunteering

Jewish tradition teaches us to treasure each day, especially the moments of growth and transition in our lives. The community of B’nai Jeshurun considers it a privilege to mark and share important stages in a person’s life and support them in both sadness and joy. Our Hesed committees allow for volunteers to engage in gemilut hasadim, or acts of lovingkindness. For more information, please click on one of the groups above or explore the signup form to express interest.
