Stephen Stulman
Biography
Elga (1934-2003) and Stephen Stulman joined BJ in 1985. Elga served as a Board Member and pioneered the creation of the Hevra Kadisha. Steve later served as vice president, launched BJ’s Israel Engagement program and taught adult education classes. Inspired by BJ and working with the rabbis, Steve helped develop ‘Israeli Judaism’ throughout Israel over the past two decades. The Stulman’s oldest daughter, Andrea, was married at BJ in 1987. Their son, James Stulman M.D., is a BJ member, together with his children, Eliza, Rachel and Joshua, who have been leaders of the Teen Program.
