Leah is grateful to call BJ her life-long spiritual home. In 2022, Leah chaired the post-pandemic Back Home Shabbaton, welcoming back hundreds of members from near and far. She helped coordinate BJ’s Vaccine Volunteer Initiative, which secured COVID-19 vaccine appointments for thousands of vulnerable New Yorkers. Prior, she served on the Jewish Identity, Belonging and Community Task Force in 2017-18 and participated in the Strategic Plan in 2014-15. Leah led Children’s services and a Rosh Hodesh group for teens from 2012-2016.
Leah is on the faculty of Grace Church School as Math Coordinator for Early Childhood and Lower School, and Advisor to the Associate Teacher Program. Leah and her husband Adam were married in the BJ Sanctuary in November 2023, thanks to an introduction by former BJ rabbinic fellow Rabbi Grace Gleason!
