Betty Jane Jacobs and her husband, Alfred Litman, have been members of BJ since 1985 and celebrated the b’nai mitzvah of their children, Joey and Juliet, at BJ. She is a former public defender at the Legal Aid Society and, since 1992, she and Alfred have practiced law together at Litman & Jacobs.

Currently she helps run BJ’s Thursday night respite dinners for new New Yorkers.
