High Holy Days Online

For BJ members, access to BJ’s High Holy Day livestream is included in your membership. All members will receive details on how to join online services before each holiday—you will not need to register separately or pay to join high holy day services online.

For Non-Members

No matter where you’ll be this High Holy Day season, we invite you to gather with the BJ community through our livestream as we welcome the new year together.

Non-members can register for livestream access at one of the support levels below. Each registration includes access to all livestreamed High Holy Day services for both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur—choose the level of support that’s right for you, with the option to make an additional donation if you wish:

  • Community: $36
  • Supporter: $72
  • Builder: $108
  • Sustainer: $180

Your registration fee helps cover the cost of providing a high-quality, accessible online experience for our extended BJ community.

Membership Includes Access to All High Holy Day Services

Did you know that about 25% of BJ members live outside of the five boroughs of NYC? We would be delighted to welcome you as a member of our community, giving you access to our High Holy Day livestream, member-only Zoom, as well as in-person services throughout the High Holy Days, along with many other benefits.

Livestream FAQ

Which BJ High Holy Day services will be livestreamed?

All adult services will be available online via livestream. In most cases, this will be the service taking place in the BJ Sanctuary. On the second morning of Rosh Hashanah, when the only adult service will be held at SPSA, that service will be livestreamed instead.

Family services and the mindfulness service on the second day of Rosh Hashanah will also be available via livestream.

I’m in a different time zone, do I need to watch live?

You’ll be able to join any of these services live and watch the recordings afterward using the links in your confirmation email, which is sent automatically after registration.

I like to put it on my Smart TV, will I still be able to do that?

Yes! There are a few steps however, and we recommend you check out this helpful guide from YouTube that tells you how to do it. You will receive a separate link for every service.

Where and how can I access the livestream?

All BJ members in good standing are pre-registered to join the livestream and will receive instructions to join the livestream or member-only Zoom. Please do not try to register separately for online access.

For non-members, you must register to gain access to the BJ livestream:

Non-member registration will open on Monday, August 3.

What should I do if I don’t have a mahzor at home?

Check rabookstore.org to find out how to purchase a physical or digital copy of Mahzor Lev Shalem from the Rabbinical Assembly.

In addition, limited hard copies will be available for loan to members in good standing. Reservations must be made in advance, and the hard copies must be picked up in person. (Coming soon.)

Is there anything else I need to join online?

Be sure to download BJ’s Mahzor Supplement for additional texts used during High Holy Day services.

How can I support BJ?

Contributions to BJ’s Kol Nidre Partnership Appeal ensure that we are able to continue to provide meaningful opportunities for prayer and spirituality, and to be a place where people learn, grow, and question—whether you are joining us from across the street or the other side of the world.
