High Holy Days Online
Non-member registration for BJ’s High Holy Day livestream will open on August 1.*
After the success of last year’s deeply meaningful experience for those online, we will come together—whether near or far—to usher in the new year through our BJ livestream.
Non-members who wish to access BJ’s High Holy Day livestream will pay a modest fee to help cover the rising costs of providing the high-quality online experience our global community has come to know and value. All options include access to all online services throughout both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur—you can choose the level of support that feels right for you. You will also have the option to add an extra donation.

Did you know that about 25% of BJ members live outside of the five boroughs of NYC? We would be delighted to welcome you as a member of our community, giving you access to our High Holy Day livestream, member-only Zoom, as well as in-person services throughout the High Holy Days, along with many other benefits.
Livestream FAQ
Which BJ High Holy Day services will be livestreamed?
All services from the BJ Sanctuary will be livestreamed (everything from the first morning of Rosh Hashanah through Ne’ilah on Yom Kippur), as well as services that will only take place at SPSA (the first evening and second morning of Rosh Hashanah, and Seder Ha-Avodah), in addition to family services and the mindfulness service on the second day of Rosh Hashanah.

I’m in a different time zone, do I need to watch live?
You will be able to watch any service on demand after it has started or concluded!
I like to put it on my Smart TV, will I still be able to do that?
Yes! There are a few steps however, and we recommend you check out this helpful guide from YouTube that tells you how to do it. There will be a YouTube link for every service.
Where and how can I access the livestream?
All BJ members in good standing are pre-registered to join the livestream and will receive instructions to join the livestream or member-only Zoom. Please do not try to register separately for online access.
For non-members, you must register to gain access to the BJ livestream:
Non-member registration will open on August 1.
What should I do if I don’t have a mahzor at home?
You can purchase a digital copy of Mahzor Lev Shalem from the Rabbinical Assembly at rabookstore.org. (Hard copies are also available for pick-up only in New Jersey.)
In addition, limited hard copies will be available for loan to members in good standing. Reservations must be made in advance, and the hard copies must be picked up in person. (Coming soon.)
Is there anything else I need to join online?
Be sure to download BJ’s Mahzor Supplement for additional texts used during High Holy Day services.
How can I support BJ?
Contributions to BJ’s Kol Nidre Partnership Appeal ensure that we are able to continue to provide meaningful opportunities for prayer and spirituality, and to be a place where people learn, grow, and question—whether you are joining us from across the street or the other side of the world.
