As we approach Yom Kippur, BJ Social Worker Jane Blumenstein will lead a bereavement group for those who are experiencing the High Holy Days without a loved one for the first (or second, or third) time.

Simhat Torah at BJ is a celebration like no other! Arvit begins at 7:15 PM, followed by all the singing and dancing you could ever ask for. Hakafot (the extraordinary Simhat Torah dancing) will end at approximately 9:45 PM, and services will continue until approximately 10:45 PM.

This special briefing will feature Dr. Michael Koplow, Israel Policy Forum’s chief policy officer. Koplow will draw on his expertise to offer analysis of the current moment of what lies ahead for Israel’s future as a secure, Jewish, democratic state.
Gather with other Aviv folks for a beit midrash, or house of study in pairs (hevruta) to provoke discussion, learning, and personal transformation.
