Tap Dancing on Everest: A Book Talk with Mimi Zieman
This riveting tale of adventure and empowerment is the story of a 25-year-old medical student who is part of a team attempting a new route on Mount Everest. Mimi Zieman, M.D., who grew up on the Upper West Side as the daughter of immigrants, weaves together adventure and medicine in a feminist story of self-discovery; capturing the curiosity and awe of a young woman as she faces down childhood messages to stay small and safe, and ventures into the unknown. Mimi will be in conversation about her book with BJ member James Stulman.
Books will be available for sale following the talk. This event is sponsored by Connections, BJ’s affinity group for older adults, and is open to the entire community.
Registration is not required to join the livestream.
