March Environmental Pledge Gathering
Join members of the Environmental Advocates and Social Action/Social Justice Manager Kiana Davis for a community conversation to reflect on BJ’s Environmental Pledge on Waste and Consumption! This will be an opportunity to learn about the Jewish values on waste, share your experiences with the pledge, meet fellow members, and discuss what environmental values you hope to see incorporated in our BJ community.
This month, we will be joined by Nicole Spina, Assistant Vice President at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, who will share how adopting a Circular Economy can reduce waste, circulate products and materials to generate ongoing uses, grow the overall economy and create good jobs.
Nicole Spina is an Assistant Vice President of sustainability initiatives at the NYC Economic Development Corporation. She manages programs that leverage technology and innovation to address our most pressing climate challenges, create good-paying jobs, and help shape a NYC economy that is more inclusive and sustainable.
