Helen Radin Memorial Teaching for Zayin Adar – Death Duties: Loss, Mourning, and the Hevra Kadisha

On a significant birthday, Sally Berkovic gave herself the gift of joining the Hevra Kadisha in London, UK. Drawing on historical objects and visual arts, Sally will highlight how the Hevra Kadisha has been represented as an integral part of Jewish communal life. Her book, Death Duties, is a poignant reflection on her own experiences of grief and loss, and challenges the reader to ask the tough questions about one’s legacy, digital footprint, and the conversations about death and dying with our loved ones.

This event is open to all, registration for in person recommended but not required. 

We are happy to offer an online option of this program for those who are not in the area or otherwise unable to physically come in person. We encourage all others to attend in person to participate in the live conversation and meet the author.
