Hag Habanot: Festival of the Daughters
Celebrate Hag Habanot (Festival of the Daughters), a North African Jewish tradition honoring women during Rosh Hodesh Tevet, which falls during Hanukkah. Traditionally marked by gift-giving, prayers for the health of daughters, and festive meals honoring Judith, Hag Habanot is an opportunity to celebrate women’s lives and contributions.
Join Rabbi Felicia Sol for an evening of candle lighting, song, study, and a dairy/vegetarian potluck dinner.
This gathering is open to BJ members who identify as women. After registering, please check your confirmation email for the potluck sign-up sheet.
Registration closes Wednesday December 9 @ 10:00 AM.
