From Sheikh Jarrah to New York City: Stories from Kids4Peace Jerusalem
Join Suma Qawasmi and Ittay Flescher to hear their stories about the challenges, fears, and dreams they encounter through their work together at Kids4Peace—an interfaith movement that brings together youth from East and West Jerusalem.

Suma Qawasmi is a Palestinian Muslim and the Community Manager at K4P. She has a BA in English Literature and Business from Birzeit University. Having grown up in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, she is active in the legal struggle to protect her home. Suma considers herself a social person who likes to meet new people, learn about others and explore different cultures and backgrounds.
Ittay Flescher is a Jewish Israeli and the Education Director at K4P. Before moving to Jerusalem in 2018, Ittay was a high school teacher in Melbourne for 15 years where he specialized in facilitating interfaith dialogue and identity-building programs for teenagers.
