These are deeply fraught times for Jews in our community, our city and around the world. In response, Temple Shaaray Tefila, in coordination with the Nexus Project, is proud to host a vital and timely program for Jews committed to protecting democratic rights and freedoms while actively combating antisemitism.

Panelists Amy Spitalnick, CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, Rabbi Rick Jacobs, President of the Union for Reform Judaism, NY State Senator Liz Krueger and moderator Becca Israel, Director of Strategic Engagement for the Nexus Project will explore the sources of today’s rising antisemitism; the dangers of communal division and the threats to our democracy; and what we can do to build solidarity, protect democracy and actively fight antisemitism on a national, state and local level. Attendees will receive access to valuable resources and guidance for use in dealing with the scourge of antisemitism, including materials from The Nexus Project and The Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism.

This event is hosted by Temple Shaaray Tefila, in coordination with the Nexus Project. B’nai Jeshurun is a proud co-sponsor, along with NY Jewish Agenda, RAC-NY, Central Synagogue, Town and Village Synagogue, Jewish Council for Public Affairs, East End Temple, Social Justice Committee of Brooklyn Heights Synagogue, Congregation Rodeph Sholom, and Congregation Emanu-El.
