Connections Cocktail Hour: Pride Edition
Join us for a special Pride edition of Connections Cocktail Hour, with a presentation and discussion with artist and Rabbi, Bec Richman (she/her). Rabbi Bec will share with with us how her queerness intersects with her artwork, tell us a bit about her story, show us some of her pottery and calligraphy, and talk about some of the big questions that guide her art practices.
Rabbi Bec Richman (she/her) is a mama, an artist, and a rabbi based in West Philadelphia. She currently works as the Assistant Rabbi and Beit Midrash Director at Germantown Jewish Centre and as an independent artist. A member of the Jewish Studio Project Facilitator Network, Bec brings the Jewish Studio Process to communities across the country, integrating spiritual practice, text study, and creative process. Her facilitation is rooted in a belief that the creative process is inherently healing and liberatory. Bec is a graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and an alumna of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship. In addition to her rabbinic work, Bec is a soferet (scribe), Hebrew calligrapher, ceramicist, and mikveh shomeret (guide). Check out her artwork.
For security purposes, registration is required in advance. The registration cut-off is 5:30PM on Mondays.
