Throughout this year, BJ’s At A Crossroads series has delved into some of the most contentious questions facing the Jewish people in decades, in an effort to facilitate learning and dialoguing across lines of difference. In these late hours of Tisha Be’Av, as we turn toward the possibilities of hope and redemption, BJ members are invited to take part in small group community conversations on some of the topics we have explored: the role of Israel in American politics; the future of Judaism in this country; antisemitism; and Zionism, liberalism, and Jewish identity.
These conversations are an opportunity for BJ members to listen and share in respectful and heartfelt ways. They will not solve the challenges our people are facing, but we hope they will serve a small role in helping to heal fractures and keep our community connected even when we disagree.
Please note: This program is open to BJ members only. Registration closes on July 22 at 5:00 PM to allow us to organize the small discussion groups. Walk-ins may be accommodated if space allows. Due to the sensitive nature of these conversations, we are unfortunately unable to admit participants after 5:15 PM. Please register in advance and plan to arrive early.
