Singing Resistance: Interfaith Voices for Justice
Add your voice to the movement during an afternoon of powerful music in community. We will gather in solidarity and resistance alongside our friends from the Church of St. Paul & St. Andrews for “Singing Resistance,” a national movement bringing people together to raise our voices in love, nonviolence, and collective care in the face of rising authoritarianism and injustice.
Following an hour of music, there will be a volunteer opportunity to prepare Eid care packages for new immigrant families from Afghanistan, Yemen, Burkina Faso, Chad, Guinea, Syria, and beyond in collaboration with New Neighbors Partnership; as well as food packages for our neighbors living in a nearby shelter. There will also be art activities and poster-making for all ages.
This event will take place during HIAS’ Annual Refugee Shabbat weekend.
