Help make the Upper West Side more welcoming to our immigrant neighbors by inviting local businesses to display pro-immigrant posters and share Know Your Rights information. At a moment of fear and uncertainty, and in honor of HIAS’ annual Refugee Shabbat, join this volunteer canvassing day to promote our community’s shared values of dignity, safety, and welcome for all.
We will gather at BJ for a short orientation, where you will receive direction, talking points, and all the materials you need. Then, in small groups, you will head out into the neighborhood to connect with local businesses.
Alongside local elected officials, help make our neighborhood a place where everyone feels safer, more informed, and that they belong.
