Join Rabbi Roly Matalon to learn about the early years of BJ’s allyship with the LGBTQIA community in the 1980s and ‘90s, including BJ’s AIDS seders and Shabbat spiritual gatherings, pastoral support for those who were being ostracized in many mainstream Jewish spaces, the creation of BJ’s Gay and Lesbian Committee, and officiation at same-sex weddings.
