“Megillah Mia!” Purim Spiel Rehearsals

ABOUT THE PURIM SPIEL

It’s time for the BJ Theater Company annual Purim Spiel. This time, it’s a Mordekhai-meets-Mamma-Mia musical revue performance. Open to youth & teen performers in kindergarten and up, the Spiel will explore the Megillah through ABBA music, help us travel to Shushan, and remind us that Purim goes well with disco! This sparkling, spectacular Spiel is one you don’t want to miss the chance to be part of, and the nurturing process-oriented educational theater model makes BJ Theater Company a great fit for first-timers and seasoned performers alike.

Registration closes on Sunday, February 15.

REHEARSALS

Rehearsals will be held at BJ on Saturday afternoons, Tuesday evenings, and some occasional Sundays between January 20 and the performances on Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3. Evening rehearsals will include pizza dinner. A specific rehearsal schedule will be shared with registered families. Interested families can email emiller@bj.org for a full schedule before registering if needed. 

The full Purim spiel performance will be on Monday, March 2 in the evening as part of BJ’s Purim celebration. The cast will also perform an excerpt at the Purim Carnival on Tuesday, March 3.
