On the first Friday of every month, join Rabbi Roly Matalon and BJ Music Director Dan Nadel for an alternative Kabbalat Shabbat service featuring melodies from the Sephardi and Mizrahi traditions, verses of Shir haShirim (Song of Songs), and beautiful piyutim (liturgical poems).
This joyous service is filled with Shabbat songs, prayers and stories. Children play with instruments and dance, and each child carries their own stuffed Torah before joining other families for Kiddush and Motzi.
This Shabbat morning experience for children in grades K-2 and their families, incorporates spirited prayer and singing, fun learning activities, and ample shmooze time. Each session includes special learning component for both children and parents.
