This event is canceled.

Bring your family memories together with BJ’s! Create a custom challah cover that preserves your meaningful clothing, ties, lace, buttons, and keepsakes – and also incorporates photographs from the BJ archives collection that have been printed on fabric.

We will use these special challah covers at the BJ Bicentennial Shabbaton, and then you will be able to take yours home and make it a part of your Shabbat table. This is a beautiful way to bring a bit of BJ’s history into your own home as we celebrate the BJ Bicentennial!

Provided: Back fabric and additional coordinating fabrics, trimming, BJ photographs, Shabbat shalom fabric label, needle and thread, and lessons in different techniques on how to hand sew your personalized challah cover. Newly formed works of art will be taken and machined finished.

This session will be led by BJ member Reggy Sonsino. Capacity is limited; if the session fills up and there is enough interest, we will add a second session on Wednesday, January 8.

Please contact Reggy with any questions.

Reggy Sonsino is a multimedia artist, creating stained glass for over 35 years and sewing since her teens. Her favorite activity is turning nothing into something special.
