Join the BJ fellows for a teaching about the ritual of tashlikh, the symbolic casting away of wrongdoings. After the teaching (which will take place in the Rabbi Rachel Cowan Chapel), we will walk together to the Hudson River at 90th Street, meeting by the water at 6:15 PM for tashlikh. While bread is the traditional item that is cast into the water, it can significantly disrupt river ecosystems. Instead, please consider bringing an alternate item to throw, such as:

  • Chopped lettuce
  • Grated carrots
  • Dry oats of any form that are unflavored and unsalted
  • Small pebbles from the surrounding local environment
