SUMMARY:Turnout Tuesdays with Reclaim our Vote
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, eligible voters of color are being purged from voter rolls at a much higher rate than white voters. We are proud to join with a coalition of UWS faith communities to partner with the Reclaim our Vote (ROV) Campaign in fighting voter suppression. As we get closer to the election\, phone banking becomes an even more critical tool for voter engagement. Every other Tuesday\, starting on September 8\, we will be phone banking to offer crucial information to help voters avoid long lines and voter intimidation on election day and to make sure their votes count. Each session will take place on Zoom and begin with a training led by Laura\, ROV’s Manhattan Regional Coordinator\, followed by phone banking. A cell phone or landline and a tablet\, desktop\, or laptop are required to participate. \nIf you have not participated in one of our phone banking sessions before\, please make sure to watch Reclaim our Vote’s Phone Banking Training Video. All other materials will be sent to registrants a few days before each session.  \nJoin Us on September 8\nJoin Us on September 22\nJoin Us on October 6\nJoin Us on October 20\nContact Larissa Wohl with any questions.

SUMMARY:20s\, 30s\, and 40s Pre-Yom Kippur Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Join us virtually for some community and intention as we prepare for Yom Kippur. Don’t forget to bring some food and plenty of water! All participants are invited to join BJ for Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur Morning Services. \nFor this event\, we will be using Sidebar\, a new way to socialize virtually. When people get together in real life\, they divide into small groups to talk\, disband\, and recombine. Sidebar recreates that experience. Participants can hop in and out of conversations with a click\, run into friends and strangers\, and start real conversations\, often spontaneously. A link to join will be sent out prior to the gathering.  \nRegister Now
